2019 NSERC USRA Applications

OVPRI is pleased to announce the launch of the 2019 NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards Competition.

Application deadline* for students/supervisors is: Friday, February, 15, 2019.

*Applications are submitted through your designated supervisor's department/school.
Individual student applications are not to be submitted to (and will not be accepted by) OVPRI.

We will be hosting an Information Session on Monday, January 21st, 2019 (details to follow in separate email).

Attached you will find the details on the Ryerson Application Process and additional information to assist prospective applicants.

Student eligibility: You must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada, be registered at the time of application in a Bachelor's degree program at an eligible university; have obtained over the previous years of study a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5; have completed all of the course requirements of at least the first year of university study (2 academic terms) of your bachelor's degree; be engaged on a full-time basis in research and development activities in natural sciences or engineering during the tenure of the award.

Supervisor eligibility: You must hold an active NSERC research grant (e.g. Discovery, Strategic, Research Partnership grant) during the time your student holds the award (April-Sept 2019).

Tenure of the USRA: Between April 29, 2019 - August 30, 2019 for a period of 16 weeks, full-time (Monday through Friday).
